Darci Harris

Midwife

Throughout my career thus far as a midwife, I have been fortunate to practise within my own local community, the Mornington Peninsula. After graduating from Monash University with a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery, I completed a dual graduate year at Peninsula Health, Frankston Hospital where I continue to practise.

Working in a busy public hospital, I have been privileged to support women throughout an array of different pregnancies and situations. I have gained experience in antenatal pregnancy care, labour, birth, as well as immediate postnatal care within a hospital and home setting.

While I thrive off the emergency situations and the unpredictability my job throws my way, I am passionate about providing women-centred continuity of care to women across the whole spectrum of their pregnancy, birth and postpartum journey. I have specific interest in the positive benefits and health outcomes that continuity of care in pregnancy provides. Thus, I am thrilled to be given this opportunity to support and empower women and their families in a clinic that values women centred continuity of care within my local community.

Outside of work, I live with my partner and energetic border collie. I enjoy daily exercise along our local beaches and parks with our dog, getting coffee at our local cafes and going out for lunches with friends and family.
